If you live in Europe you know just how much of a nuisance speed cameras can be, especially in the UK. I have 3 points on my licence for speeding and thanks to one of them dam speed camera, that was in the wrong place at the time wrong time. Shouldn’t say that, I blame myself for speeding and speeding kills.
Anyway there is an App you can get on your iPhone to warn you of upcoming speed cameras when driving, so you can avoid getting or adding more points.
SpeedTraps is a free App from a company call AROBS Transilvania Software that can turn your iPhone into a fully-featured speed camera warning system. SpeedTraps will notify you when approaching a fixed speed camera, using the iPhone GPS. Get visual or audio alerts with the ability to increase the volume. Also if you spot a temporary camera, you will be able to add its location, and later remove it.
The camera loacation database only includes fixed camera for some countries in Europe, which includes France, Germany, United Kingdom, Romania, Hungary and Austria.
The app has quite a few great features, try it out to avoid getting any points.
